Scuttlebutt Falmouth?/Fowey?/Plymouth? weekend - Spring

Can we come, please?

Not sure if we will be from east or west as we will be launching from Torpoint early to mid-May then wandering about a bit. Should know a couple of weeks beforehand.

33ft, two persons. Room for two more if anyone wants a lift. (double cabin with ensuite)

Will probably looking for a hand to take her over to the Channel Islands after, if anyone would like to come.

I'll add you to the list.

Regarding info, I'm not collecting much just now, as Fowey will have a new system by then and I'll collect the info they need for their berthing, so they have it all in their system as people arrive.

I'll probably be up for a trip to Guernsey - if I get the paperwork sorted ! - we have done 24 channel crossings and could sail in company if that's any help; I'd suggest Salcombe is a good departure point.

.

Sounds like a plan.

I did it many times in my youth but always on a fully crewed boat. Now it's just me and swmbo, and she's worried about night sailing and shipping lanes and I need to sleep sometimes!

Hmm, now that sounds like an interesting proposition. I may well be interested in a trip in company over to Guernsey too. Will keep an eye on this with interest :encouragement:

Ru88ell can you add me and crewman Mike to the list please in his Moody 31 from the Solent. We would also be up for a trip to the CI's.

Well I can definitely come now I am picking up my new boat on Friday. It's this one, just don't run over me anyone :encouragement:

Thanks folks, she is a known boat in the Drascombe club which I didn't realise. 2006 model, little use/wear, new engine 2012 etc. Not cheap but worth 2-3K more than i paid for her as the guy had to sell. I didn't do the haggling this time, the broker put her up for a low price for a very quick sale. Another 2006 Coaster with same spec is up with another Drascombe broker for £16,250 so I got a good deal (always an important factor to keep the other half, half happy!!)

Dave Lol, I've already started looking  Noooo..... this is my boat for life, not a great sailer but perfect for pottering about in. I can't do long passages so I'll tow there instead  I've signed up for a load of rallys on inland waterways, as well as the East and South Coast. Scotland next year hopefully.

Can't wait to get out in her in the next couple of weeks weather permitting. See you down the pub :encouragement:

Incidentally referring to earlier posts just before Russell, I reckon Zagato's boat was in Fowey in the photo.
