Does anyone have any experience of retro-fitting a screen washer system. The boat is a Sealine SC29 but I guess the principles are the same for any.

Vetus do a kit but it is designed to run off the pressurised domestic water supply which would be a problem when using the boat over winter with the supply drained down to prevent frost damage. A separate reservoir and pump would seem to make more sense.

Thanks for any help.

Best bet would be to go to a scrap yard and get a bottle and pump and Nozzles from a car. Then just plumb your own pipes and hook up 12v and a switch and jobs a goodun.

Your challenge is where to site the reservoir such that it is out of sight, yet easy to fill. Haven't got a bonnet on my boat, so best place is engine room, a long way from the screen. Suggest you ask swmbo politely to sit somewhere near the screen with a little spray can.......................

Is it wired for a pump ? all the 3 digit Sealines had a wash switch and feed to pump wired in.
