Scottish moorings

Thanks for the info on good sailing out of Largs. Now have to choose the best route to link all the suggested destinations up.

Question; do you have to pay anyone to use mooring buoys provided by pubs, hotels, etc. or just drink the pub dry?

Usually.. yes, they have paid for the moorings to be laid and maintained, it's not a cheap business!

No. The moorings maintained by hotels do not charge, they hope that you come ashore for a meal and a few bevvies.
