Scorpion RIBs goes into administration

Due to falling sales and inflation - you would have thought a RIB manufacturer would want inflation?

They were always well overpriced in my view

I thought they were great boats. I did a close comparison of their 8+m boat with Ribeye's Prime 8.21m, at the Southampton boat show September 2022. Ended up choosing Ribeye but it was a close thing, so I'm sad to read that Scorpion have had to stop trading. I thought their pricing was competitive and fair in that section of the market - pretty much the same as Ribeye's pricing.

We had a Scorpion 7.5 many years ago, in fact it hull #1 which was originally the chase boat for the J Class Velsheda! A really great boat designed by Dave Marsh of MBY. Sounds like the brand will live on, I did wonder if Ribeye might be interested but they have already developed into that sector of the RIB market.
