Hello

has anybody here the schematics for the Simrad Shipmate 8300/8400 VHF?

My connection to the second headset is malfunctioning and I would love to repair it. Have diagnosed the interface in the blackbox to be faulty.

Best regards

Dietmar

Hello Jappy,

Just read your message about the schematics for the RS8300.
I would love to receive a good quality service manual for the SHIPMATE/SIMRAD RS8300.
I've been looking for this quite a long time now and it has proven to be very hard to find.

Kind regards,
Ron

I have spent the last 15 years looking for chematics or service manuals for the Simrad Shipmate RS8100 VHF with no luck. I have the microphone socket wiring and internal potentiometer functions but nothing else. I need to work out how to adjust the FM deviation to specification next. Do you have a specific problem or just want to be prepared?

I've got a pdf manual for the RS8400 RS8300 RS8300SD and the RS8300SOS
And another pdf manual for the RS8400 DSC Controller
if that is any help

More info on the RS8100. After finding how to set the FM deviation I realised that the microphone was low output. Replacing the microphone insert with a new 50p insert brought everything back to spec. I am now the proud owner of a fully functional, up to spec RS8100 with a bit of setup and repair info. 15 years too late.
