Scandinavian solution to cleaning hull bottoms.

Had one of these at Port Solent a few years back. Seemed like a good idea but didn't last long. I suspect the rise of Sea Lift in the Solent saw them off. That and perhaps putting it in Port Solent of all places!

...and all that lost revenue from hyper- expensive liftout fees!

One at Haslar Marina IIRC.

The one at Haslar (Sealift 3) is just a boat hoist. The cleaning has to be done manually.

To be honest, and despite its claim (for sail and motor...) I'm a bit sceptical that this one can do a decent job on a wide range of vessel types, as the underwater profiles of boats (especially sail boats) can vary so much. As has already been observed, the video only shows it at work on small (motor) boats.

Car washes work well. But cars are much more uniform shapes. They don't have things like propellers, rudders and keels getting in the way.

Looks rubbish.
Looking at the video of the underneath of that boat it only cleaned the front half....;)

As others have said, OK for regular shaped hulls, but it wouldn't work on my rounded bilge keeled hull.
