Scam on boatsandoutboards ?

Boat is a 38 ft flybridge and all photos are of same, its location mysteriously moved from London to Scotland overnight

The original listing where you contacted me from was placed by a relative. Thank you for following directions to contact me.
I am glad you are one of the people interested in buying my boat . It is in a excellent condition, no mechanical issues, no scratches or dents, easy on maintenance costs, extremely reliable. Always been stored in garage.
This Boat has a full service history and all documents available. Trailer is included also within this price and all accessories my husband had with it(life jackets and so on)
My husband died 1 month ago so i decided to sell, it has no use for me so it must go, that's why the price is low.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

Same old same old. Always a relative that' s died or they are working away and can't get back for months.

The trailer sounds interesting, if not unique!

That boat was up for sale on eBay last week listed with buy it now price of £62k. Quite a drop in a week! And a trailer, stored in a garage.....
This Humber 38 "Solent Mermaid" was the one that featured in Howard's way, remember reading about it in a previous copy of MBM.

This is definatly a scam from some using a boat advertised on eBay
I am currently moored at the side of this boat in Ipswitch and know it very well having cruised with the boat and its current owners for the past 6 years it was a genuine advert on eBay as they currently have it up for sail As they are not on here I have just showed them this series of posts and toning to contact boat and outboards to report the advert.

O bugger had already started clearing out he garage to get it in and was about to borrow a chums Fiat 500 with towbar.

Still would to know about btland.com tho !

They always pick Scotland as the fictitious location presumably on the basis that you won't visit. I have on a couple of occasions found on Google maps a village close by and claimed to have relatives there who could view on my behalf....they suddenly go quiet!

Boats and outboards are aware of this scam.From previous observations,they do seem to be a bit prone to this type of trick.
