This might be of interest if you're about to polish your topsides. Not sure how stable it would be on boatyard hardcore.

I'm considering replacing the stripes on Ruffles so may have to invest in something similar.

you need a set of steps to get onto the platform once it goes that high or someone holding it to stop it tipping over. Apart from that these type are very good.
 
All I'd say is that the platform is very small - only about 15" wide - and so the stability of the thing (even with the stabilisers) isn't going to be great. Having fallen off a much bigger platform than this due to instability whilst polishing the topsides, I'd caution against this "bargain".
 
I have used a similar platform to this for many years for amongst other things, working on my boat, trimming my hedge and general DIY/decoration work. I agree you can fall of any platform if you don't look where you are going, but stability is fine if you set it up properly.

I have yet to fall of mine after about 5 years.
