I believe MDL Windsor and MDL Bray charge the same price per metre per annum and MDL Penton Hook is a little cheaper.
I can honestly say that I have never experienced marinas packed with weekenders and kids screaming everywhere anywhere on the Thames.
The MDL Freedom Berthing arrangement is excellent.

It is also a little bit closer to where I live, and biggest plus of all - The Waterside, Fat Duck & Cliveden are very near! I am going to do the rounds over the next few days and visit all the Marina's that are contenders. I just didn't want a really busy Marina packed with weekenders and kids screaming everywhere. I know that makes me sound like a real old fart (I'm 35 btw!), but I just want to use my boat to chill on and relax, not necessarily to socialise. There's definitely space and they definitely have the same charges. Bray def gives you more of a sense of being in the countryside due to its landscaping. Mike Gates (MDL Marinas) will PM you.
 
Just done the same exercise as you and settled at Bray and love it! Very peaceful, great staff and I also live in mid bucks and it's been a doddle to get to. Far better than when we were at old windsor. Already been to Bray more times this year than I did the whole of last year at old Windsor... just a lovely place to relax, no pressure to be sociable, but sociable if you want... would recommend, but what do I know, I've only got a small one.. :-)

A lovely spot , parking is ok and no screaming kids or boring old farts wanting to chew your ear off :D

Easy to get to aswell . M3 , turn right at Sunbury cross and stop before you hit the river .
 
Brilliant!!! Thanks to everyone for your fast responses and helpfulness. I am more or less decided it will be either Bray or Windsor, just have to arrange a visit and decide which!
