Saw

Difficult to assess the scale from a photograph. The hole in the end of the saw may make it a cross-cut. These were two handed saws used to cut logs two handed before chainsaws. The hole takes another handle. I've got one in my shed ... but could use another handle! OF

A Rip Saw?

Looks like a rip-saw to me - for sawing with the grain only, especially softwoods. Shame it's so rusty as it looks like a Sandvik, a good make imho. If it is not a 'hard-point' then it may be possible to set and re-sharpen the teeth.
The hole is for hanging it up on your workshop wall.
