Save our Suffolk Estuary's

I take a different view, (now there's a surprise). The sea defences are ruining the coastline. They prevent natural sea innundation at regular intervals thereby destroying the natural ecosystems in the intetidal areas. This deprives the sea of valuable nutrition and breeding space for large numbers of species. The land between the sea defence and the high ground is generally not able to support any economic activity to warrant the expense of the defences. Far better to let the coast react tide and storm naturally but defend small areas on raised islands.
