We enjoyed a float, and managed to keep our cruising chute flying goosewinged on the pole.

Most excellent, followed by an excellent dinner at the Swallowtail restaurant at Burnham,. Indeed, probably better than the Bristol Arms Shotley. Yep, that good.

Our guest helm, Flipper K6354. A thoroughly decent chap, and most excellent company.

The last time we ate at the Swallowtail (circa 2002) the meal was fine but the house wines started at about £16. Maybe it has different management now.

Yes, all changed now. Still not a cheap bar, but the food was very good, and they managed to simultaneously serve 31 poached eggs hollandaise with asparagus which were perfect.

I would also add that Burnham only charged me £19.80 (only, what am I saying?) for 11m, so that hasn't risen at all from 2008.
