I have spoken with Martin and booked a few berths for the Saturday night in the basin. If you want one please let me know so I can let Martin know.

I hope some friends from my sailing association (RNSA and a friendly lot too)will be there to meet Karouise and hopefully some Forumites too?

I will bring charcoal for the Lockside BBQ - you bring your food & booze or eat and / or drink at pub. I can't hope to follow the Pirates Extravaganza so if anyone wants to add in childrens entertainment please feel free!!

Probably go for late afternoon BBQ and then roll into the pub after! Won't be an early start on Sunday as the lock can't open until middayish!

Peter..We were thinking about a jaunt around to the Blackwater this weekend anyway, so we might join in.. I will confirm as soon as I get a decision from management.
 
Peter, berth for Fat Circle please.

Have broken our dinghy, so need to source one quickly for the 2 man team. Any ideas?

On the way up to the Basin yesterday AM called Martin on phone.. Have you booked he says .. Yes I says, were with the Peter Broadley lot...... Youve got the wrong weekend He says they are coming in September.

Doh !

Its a good job we were in the Blackwater anyway !
 
Huge c*$k up - double booked - can't go now

Major apologies :( - I have been double booked and cannot now do Row4 or arrange bbq etc. Also annoyed as I am losing a chance to show off Karouise.:mad:

The story (if you are interested) is. I was asked to skipper a Vic 34 from Gosport for a week 7 to 14 Sept. Well rude to refuse really. I agree. I see Jim (Full Circle) looking for rowers for Row4 and think, yes that will be fun so sign up with Jim. Last week I get in touch with Vic34 lot to find out exactly when I need to get to Gosport - ie late Sun 6th or some time on Mon 7th. No you are needed by 1030 on Fri 4th to Fri 11th. When were dates changed I ask, they haven't been I'm told, but I was asked to sail ........etc

If you want to go I can still let Martin know the berths required.

It will be great to see you all here!!
Tina is up to her eye balls at the mo sorting out the day and the farmers market on the sunday!! There is also a fun Bingo night on thr Friday for those of you that will be here.

For your information the race IS starting at 1300hrs!!!! Locking out will be at 1230 on the Saturday and locking in straight after so keep an eye out on the rowers as they start across the gut way!!

Just missed you on Facebook Al, can't make it I'm afraid, even without the car troubles I had forgotten it's our anniversary :eek: . Hope it all goes well again, though it might take a bit to be better than last year
