Some of you will recall that I told you Out To Play was sold, post about two weeks ago. I was deliberating which replacement on the short list it would be (all ETAP of course).

The decision has been made, the deal done, money has exchanged hands and this time next week we will be the owners on an ETAP 35i (same hull as the current 34s).

Trouble is, see she's out of the water, so no Christmas or new year sail, Bah!!!

Funny is'nt it? You buy a car, drive it off, you buy a house and move in, you buy a boat though, and all you get is the keys and a bit of paper, then you walk off and leave thousands of pounds of cherished property, sitting in a yard!

Congratulations! But, how the hell did he get it down the chimney and what sort of sleigh was he using?

Seriously though I hope she lives up to all hopes and expectations.

Have a great Christmas and new year

I like them, plus I can't spell Benytoe!

Anyway It's 14.30 and I'm off home, by now all the last bits will have been done at home so it should be safe. I "just HAD to come into the office this morning"!

Have a great Christmas all, and a happy new sailing year. I will update my I.D. soon with the name of the new boat.

start dreaming of the 46

It will remain a dream - for me at least.

Got quoted a price: they will start at €340.000 (+/- £226.000). This puts it well beyond my reach. Price does not include sails.
Maybe a used one in 10/15 years. But since Etaps tend to keep their value pretty well....
