Sant Carles Mooring

As a newcomer can anyone with Med experience help please?

I'm looking to rent out my 15m mooring in MDL's Sant Carles marina this year (April/May onwards). Can anyone advise the best broker to use or the best place to advertise it and roughly how much I should ask, allowing that it has free airport transfers included.

I'd even consider a swap with a UK South Coast berth or selling it.

i know someone who has a 30M hammerhead there & cant rent it out(not for the love of trying!) it is also for sale, and has been for the last 2 years.
i would try a private advert in boating magazines first.

I would speak to Chris at Triangle Berth Brokers, I have rented and purchased at Sant Carles through him, and was very satisfied with both transactions.

No financial interest, just a very satisfied customer.

Might be worth a PM to fellow forumite, Hurricane, as he keeps his boat there. What I would say is that for the first time in years there are plenty of spare berths in Majorca so renting out a berth in San Carles might be tough unless the price is attractive. Unfortunately, the Spanish have shot themselves in the foot with the matriculation tax fiasco and now rumours about the re-introduction of a wealth tax

I know the potential audience would be selling to the current berth holders but it might help spread the word.

Is 15m the finger pontoon size or the absolute max loa?

It's to take a 15m boat though I understand that they will accept a slightly longer vessel as long as it doesn't impede access to other moorings

I believe the rules at SC are that you are allowed 10% extra on the specified length but you have to make an allowance of 3% for fenders on the width.
All from memory.

A 15m berth at SC is 4.7m beam.
So you could put a 16.5m boat on it as long as the beam is about 4.5m.
If close to this, I'm sure that the marina can be persuaded.
