Sanimarin 35ST - any views?

...about to buy a couple of these and wondered if anyone here has one and could comment on build quality, reliability, noise, ease of fitting??

Cheers
Colin
I fitted an SN31 last year to replace the standard Jabsco sea toilet, it’s lower profile but has all the same working parts as the 35ST.

It’s really well engineered and incredibly quiet (quieter than a low level WC at home), was really straightforward to fit once the new fresh water plumbing and wiring were in place .... And much better with a clean fresh water flush.

if you’re fitting them yourself and need any further info, give me a shout.

Cheers Andy. we are fitting ourselves. we're going from Jabsco retro-fitted electric with sea water flush to fresh water flush. Did you fit a seperate one way valve on the freshwater side, or did that come with the toilet?

Colin

It’s part of the toilet, just needed to run Hep2 down to a threaded isolator at the rear of the toilet for the inlet pipe to screw onto.

I had one of these installed on my last boat to replace the jabsco electric unit that had packed up.

solid unit, much quieter, one touch and it flushes and just better.

What's a ballpark cost for this? (remove old, supply, fit and plumb-in the new)...?

Its quite a labour intensive job to prep the fresh water and electrics but I don’t really have a cost as I did all the work myself ... The parts costs are trivial in comparison to the labour, though.

I would estimate the total cost for me, including the actual SN31 itself (£715), removing the old unit, replacing the waste pipe from toilet to sea cock via an anti-siphon loop, making good the head compartment and cabling etc. to be circa £900.

It took me several days to complete ... Took about 2 hours to actually fit the SN31 ?
