Same Ques different Co.s

Hi guys,

Thanks for everyones comments about Kiracoulis. I am still researching a charter co in the south of France for this June. Sunsail and Moorings are incredibly expensive and I am thinking about using some other companies. Two which I have come across are Nautilus Yachting and Nigel James Yacht Charter. Does anyone have any experience of these co's. They are both significantly cheaper than the big two but a little more expensive than Kiracoulis. All comments are gratefully appreciated.

Nautilus are agents for the likes of Kiriacoulis etc and are the co. through whom I used Kiriacoulis as per my previous post. They seem fine to deal with and will scout about for best deals for you if you are able to be flexible. Think Nigel James are similar type of operation.

We used Nautilus to charter in Majorca in 2002.

Very competent business.

Watch out for the leeches

just check before you book that the company you are dealing with is the charterer.

There are a lot of "yacht charterers" who own nothing but a web site and insert themselves between the customer and the actual,yacht-owning charter business.

Since the leeches take a cut it will be cheaper to deal direct.

Renting out Bavarias from Bormes les Mimosas as per Kir. must be the cheapest cost base east of marseilles to end up with a similar hol as the sunsail.moorings option inother words decentishboat in the right area. I wouldn't look that gift horse too closely in the mouth.
