Personally i think the volvo has had its day
Fewer entrants, changes of course to involve more interest i agree, but not really that awe inspiring anymore
The original whitbreads were exciting as it seemed more ground breaking.
Later entries with races between stein larger & fisher & pikel were good
The introduction of the 60's was good but even then i think it has lost its appeal

I enjoy watching the volvo races. Just whizzing along at 20 knots is exciting, and there've been some very close finishes.
I thought it was a one design race next time, which will add a new twist.
