SALVAGE CHALLENGE

A puzzle indeed,Saltwater_gypsy!! If it were mine I would have all the halyards gathered together to even out the strain, assuming masthead rig. Then get a good trawler to haul her over herself quickly and drag her off into deeper water. A few old mattresses would help if lashed around the turn of the bilge and topsides.Planks float away. fenders filled with water would help as would an old avon part filled with water and placed strategically for its last voyage! I've used the halyard trick before on a falling tide and it works, but vessel was not totally dried out as I suspect this one is when the sea is flat. There are tidal tables for the Med and these should be consulted.Low pressure system overhead will allow water to rise also as will prolonged wind dir.Hope the boat survives, they are tough machines.Bye for now to all!

When I look at problems like this, I often come up with solutions which are a combination of the ideas by others. I would suggest using airjacks and levers to slowly raise the hull. I would then build a skid under the hull and try to winch the skid into the water by the easiest route.

PS I will be very interested to hear the outcome.

I will upset everyone now:
Cut boat into manageable sections
Re-assemble in shady boatyard
Sell in another country
