I contacted McDuff about anodes to be used in Cardif bay. One of the things they said was that the bay may have more salt in it than previously thought. I don't think so, on Friday I left the bay and locked UP on the way out. We went up by around 1.5m, as the lock is around 15m deep the salt concentration would have been reduced by 90%, in the lock. Most of this would have gone back out into the outer harbour. I can't see any way the concentration could increase significantly enough to affect the way an anode works.

Theres also a deep sump dug into the bottom just inside the locks which is there to catch the heavier salt water that may come in through the lock then its pumped out again.

The Bay is teeming with freshwater fish so the salt content must be very low.

I note your test was done after 11pm. I can see it may be easier at that time to forget how many boats have seatoilets!!
