What an improved place.

The jetty and some of the moorings have, thankfully, changed hands. Landing in a dinghy no longer costs £5 a time but is free, the moorings are now at a flat rate of £13 a night, dinghy stowage is free, there are new diesel facilities and there are plans to put in a very limited number of pontoons for next season as well as showers and toilets.

The pub in Salen does a good meal.

That's good to hear. We went once and turned around and rowed back to the boat and left when the woman asked for £5.00 to land at the jetty.

Well, I do hope they drop the pontoon idea. Its just fine as it is.
