Does anyone know if there are any pontoons or non-drying moorings available for an 18 foot speedboat at Salcombe - required for end of July/August. Preferably private.
TIA

Plenty of moorings and a few pontoons, but all harbour authority controlled. Why not phone Salcombe harbourmaster. BTW I was there earlier this week, harbour looked rather windswept and empty, not surprising really!

Yeoward & Stone manage some swinging and trot moorings in South Pool Creek.

Usual way to moor in Salcolmbe is. First contact harbour master. Radio, look out for his boat, phone, call in office.
He will give you a mooring buoy. ( July August) you may have to share. Radio needed for contacting water taxi ( Also run by Harbour master). There is a Town pontoon, but avaiable only for about an hour at a time. There are other privately owned pontoons for small boats. You will need to ask. Ring Salcombe harbour master, I'm sure he will help you. Sorry his number is on my boat. But you cant go wrong with Salcolmbe
