Sails made from Polyethylene & sail design software.

Hi i have been thinking about making a cruising chute for some time now and during my information search i came across these usefull sites.
One is about Poly being used to make sails (good for making a trial sail before the expence of ripstop)
and the other is a free sail design programe.

Has any one else used a poly sail?

Squidge, poly is too heavy for a chute. You could try Tyvek from your builders merchant. Much better solution though does tend to come with DuPont emblazened all over it.

Thanks, had a look at there web site,they make covers which haven't got the logo on so i may be able to get the material.
