Sailrite Ultrafeed LS-1 straight stitch walking foot sewing machine. All in good condition with case, foot control and assorted bits and pieces. Bottom section of case has been repaired previously but it seems fine. This model won't do zig zag stitches. UK mains 220v.
Collection only from Weymouth Dorset.
£350.

I have one, so don't want to buy it, but a useful snippet of information is that Solent Sewing are the UK agents again for Sailrite after a few years of there being no UK or even European agent. It makes getting spares and help much easier and cheaper.

[...] Your Sailrite is a real bargain and I'm surprised it hasn't gone yet.
"Collection only from Weymouth Dorset."

Such a stipulation is bound to deter many potential buyers.

On a map, stick the point of a pair of compasses into Weymouth with it opened up to a distance equivalent to a couple of hours drive on lousy roads. Draw a circle.

Most of the area it encompasses is sea, and the remaining land area is surprisingly small, and unlikely to contain many people looking for a Sailrite sewing machine at this particular moment in time.

I’ve just noticed a post on the Facebook Westerly Owners forum which mentions a Sailrite LSZ sewing machine being sold as a scam on several sailing websites & forums. Hopefully this one isn’t connected with this scam?

You are absolutely right. It's totally genuine & I'm offended that any connection with a scam has been mentioned.
I’m sorry if you feel offended - my OP was simply intended to urge caution for a potential buyer on the basis the scam was reported on the same day as your advert appeared, an unfortunate coincidence that’s all.

bad luck for me. I have been looking for one for a year, second-hand. I gave up and just bought a new Singer Heavy Duty, and this shows up 😀
