If anyone wants to join me on Banjo or with their own boat then the plan is to lock out at 1030 tommorow (09 Dec.) then head across to the River Axe. Quick pint in the Dolphin if time and tide allows.

Im just checking my thermals and wooly hat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Enjoy. Still out of action, I'm afraid. Sitting here working with seemingly no escape. Still, we're off down West for the weekend, so I'll have a walk and a few beers.

Hi me ol shipM8, sounds like a good plan; I'd like to join you, I've got an appointment in Barry in the dental hyginists torture chamber @ 09.10 but I'm pretty sure I can be with you at 10 ish if thats ok with you? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Damn, could have met you in the Dolphin for a pint but I have to be in Bristol tomorrow.

Nice picture of Brean, must have just missed you last time you were all over, only just caught barebones transom disappearing as I legged it over the quicksand /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hope you have a good sail

Sounds good Tony. If I get to the club before you I'll move Banjo onto the visitors pontoon hopefully lock out at 1030 but I wont go without you.

Dont worry about the dental hygienist, she recently bought a new hammer and chisel /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Work, the curse of the sailing man. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Hope your weekend goes well.

It was really cold out in the wind so we settled for a couple of hours sailing out towards the Holmes then locked back in early afternoon.

Coming back from the Axe would have been dead to windward into the freezing wind so a table next to a radiator in the "Packet" seemed more inviting. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Just shut the wheelhouse door and crank the heating up!
Must admit ,first time i have used de-icer spray on boat windows.

Just staggered out now /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I did take some pics but sadly my camaera has given up the ghost /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

By coincidence the only other boat out was "Vega" our old Anderson. Roll on summer.

I was hoping we'd get a sail in before Christmas. Looking unlikely now. I've been doing as much maintenence as I can, as an excuse to be on the boat, but I'm running out of things to do. That I can afford at the moment, anyway.

Actually, I'd forgotten. I have a 5m Avon in the drive and two engines in the garage. No A frame or batteries. A fuel tank and console that need fitting and all the electrical bits. I'm also fairly sure that I have to move the trailer axle to get the balance right when towing.

It's a bit cold for messing about on the drive though......
