To be honest I'm a warm water sailor - but I quite like watching people sailing in colder climes.

This is one of my favourites. The quality of footage is excellent and it's completely unpretentious (IMO). To arrange the various long shots must have taken some organising (yes, I know it's a drone but you still need to go to the trouble of getting the shot right and having a basic storyline).

Impressive....
but Norway is not all like that. On our first west coast cruise, entering at Alesund, we got badly sun burnt and spent the next five weeks trying to keep in the shade of the mainsail! I have also been known to jump into the sea to cool off.
A fantastic cruising ground if you can make it and summers can be hot and sunny (at times), even north of the arctic circle.

Spot on, srm. We spent six weeks exploring the waters and islands between Bergen and the Statt headland. Started off cool like Shetland, but was very sunny and hot by July, and fair bilin' by the time we got down to Bergen. Fantastic cruising area around the islands although we tended to motor in the fjords.

Yes, fjords can be a long slog. After a couple of summers I learnt to only go in to shortish ones. The trick is to sail in during the afternoon using the sea breeze - can be exciting though as we finished up running under bare poles into Geranger Fjord. (not a shortish fjord). Its usually possible to motor out during the early morning calm before the sea breeze sets in. Or as an elderly gentleman explained to me in Alesund, before "the one o'clock waves".

If you like Sailing VLOGS here some that I enjoy:

The guys are prolific - Finding Avalon

And just for quality of drone shots this is good

This couple have some nicely made videos about summer sailing in Norway. Coincidentally, our boat can be seen at anchor behind them in this vid;
