If anyone sees a little yellow lug sailed dinghy between the above-mentioned places later this week, give us a wave.

We'll hopefully be camping at locks, and looks like we'll be motoring most of the way down the southerly bit past Oxford. Keep fingers crossed for a bit of west in the wind, please.

Hope to launch Lechlade - I think we launched a canoe there once, but there's no slip marked on the map. Any details of launch place in Lechlade greatfully received.

Max (crew = Elaine)
celebrating 34th anniversary, BTW.

Happy anniversary!
sorry can't help with the slip, I've only been to Lechlade once and that was about twenty four years ago, just after we got married. Took our little Freeman from Bray and when we got to Lechlade, we felt like pioneers crossing the great unexplored.
Very fond memories of the area and hope you have a great trip.

When will you be passing Oxford? We will be out (subject to weather) on Saturday around the south of Oxford.

Should be south of Oxford Sat pm - prob motoring with main brailed up, if I can believe the forecast. What will you be in? We've seen quite a few sailing dinghies before at Oxford - one of the few stretches we've seen them. Aiming to get to Benson waterfront Sat night.

I'm assuming that you can easily drop your mast as the two bridges between Godstow and Osney locks are fearfully low!

All being well we will be launching around 10am at Dodington bridge just south of Oxford then heading down river a few miles. Boat name Harriet 2
