Sailing knee pads - any good?

Spinlock - brilliant design.

Tried many other types; many have straps that cut into backs of knees.
With others, the pads don't stay in place.

I love Spinlock. Not cheap (for me at least) £30, but worth every penny.

Thanks to all. Have had a rush of blood to the head and ordered the spinlock ones. I have some builders ones at home which are not comfortable.

To me there are two sorts; those for racing or sailing in rough conditions, and those for the boat yard. Hard construction pads are best for working around the bottom, and I've been really happy with Mizomo vollyball pads sailing (they are thinner than most). I've worn Spinlock as well, but I can't say that they are really better. Like many things, I think it depends on the individual and fit.
