Hi,
I had a cunning plan for sailing to Irvine on Thursday to catch the first of three concerts by one of my favourite musicians. Then I bought the Clyde Cruising Club guide to the Clyde, then I looke closely at some charts, then I thought, it isn't going to work. my boat draws 1.75 metres, or did when it was new, probably a bit more now, looking at charts etc, I reckon Irvine is no good unless the tide is well up, then there seems to be very little in the way of visitors pontoons, is it as bad as I reckon? should I drive to the gig instead? or sail to Ardrossan and return from the gig by taxi?
(2nd gig is in the Corrie hall, Arran, then on Saturday, Rothesay. It's Nick Harper playing by the way)
