Might be worth getting the Quicktide app from Nautin, which allows you to plan crossings with on the day tidal data and your own boat's details. You pay a small subscription I think. I find it very useful. It covers the German islands as well, although I haven't used it for much further east than Greetsiel.

Although I have the tidal atlas for the western isles, I generally relied on common sense and advice from locals. It was the HM in Norderney who told me to leave four hours before HW going west (from memory) when headed for Delfzijl. The currents can run quite strongly in places and can upset calculations.
