I for one won't be going to Greece now, as it becomes a significant amount for anything over 12m, and I'm certainly not going to change boat just to get under the 12m.

I think it has all arisen because the visitors were not paying enough!! Whether a monthly charge can be operated with enough efficiency to produce more revenue than operating costs is of course debatable.

It seems to have been instituted more to catch Greeks wearing flags of convenience, rather than visitors. Not that being collateral damage makes it any more bearable...assuming it actually comes to pass, which is far from certain. (I lose count but this is at least the third iteration of such a charge, none of which have raised so much as a drachma)

Careful, Vic. Until recently you might have got into trouble for body shaming but you're now more likely to be in hot water for implying there are only 2 gender options to bring the show to a close.
