Sailing in the nude

Some guys are going to row across the Atlantic in the nude but I believe they are going from the Canaries .

Not much of a challenge when you consider the warm seas etc I presume they are not rowing to the Canaries from the UK . Plenty of people have sailed starkers in the Mediterranean particularly those with a Teutonic origin

How about some of the huskier Yottie forumites on New Year's day setting up a rival team over a shorter distance eg

Balloch to Inversnaid

or Troon to Brodick

Could start off on the latter at the famous nudist beach at Troon /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

They were on the radio this morning, it's a trans-Atlantic race to the West Indies.
The reason for no clothes is salt, it gets into your clothes, dries out and turns it into sandpaper. Then when you are rowing 2 hours on and two 2 hours off, you end up with very sore tender area's.

All I will say to nude sailing , is those berthed in Portsmouth keep you eyes open and do not get distracted by what you may see on other boats ER not see on other boat
