Does anyone have recommendations for useful Pilot or Cruising Companion Books to guide us on a charter holiday in Croatia?

Adriatic Pilot by Thompson published by Imray is comprehensive but expensive for a charter holiday which inevitably will only require information for a limited area. As Halo says the charter operator will provide all you need on the boat. The pilot is useful for sussing out the area before you go and looks impressive on your bookshelf at home (where my copy is!).

The best pilot/guide by far to actually have onboard is 777.

It seems to have been expanded in this new edition and now covers the whole Eastern Adriatic rather than just Croatia. The authors are also different but I assume the format is still the same inside although I'll try and check that.
I'm sure that the charter company will provide a copy but you could always ask them now just to check.
The Imray guide as mentioned by Tranona is better as a general read as it has coloured photos, history etc but for raw pilotage information and chartlet coverage of almost every bay in Croatia then 777 was without equal. I just hope that the new edition has kept to the same standard as my 2014/15-ish paperback edition.
OK .... just checked and this 777 https://www.imray.com/Publications/Imray+Pilots/Pilots+and+Cruising+Guides/RB0625-1/ is the latest edition and still authored by the long-standing author Karl Heinz Bestandig so I'm sure it will be up to the previous standard. (it might be the same version I linked to above but the two versions seem to be by different authors although they look identical to me ..... I'm confused by this so just make sure you buy the Bestandig version

The Thompson pilot will be just the job for you. Similar format to all the Imray pilots. bit of history, boat related information, descriptions and chartlets of all the waterside stops and lots of big colour photos to entice you to go.

We chartered from Euromarine in Split last year and 777 was not provided.

We've only ever chartered with Sunsail/The Moorings and they always provided both 777 and the Imray although that was some years ago now. The difference is quite striking as there are whole sections of coast which do not appear to have any suitable anchorages according to Imray but 777 will show half a dozen little sheltered bays with shingle seabed perfect for anchoring. If you occasionally want to anchor in a known safe bay beneath the stars with no other boats in sight, which is not so easy in Croatia in July and August these days, then 777 is perfect. The larger, more well-known, safe anchorages are in Imray along with lovely photos but, as you might expect, you are never going to be on your own in those.
I guess that it all depends upon what kind of experience you are looking for.

777 is the one, very good! That's the one that we also use in Croatia
