Just put a little video together for friends and family on FB but I thought I might post it here, not to compete with Dylan (not even on the same ladder), to generate conversion, not to say how good I am but no one at home is that interested. I had a great sail in up to 30knts of breeze, cold and sunny. Did 36 miles just sailing around. I found it really interesting to be in my normal cruising ground in a different situation: normally near high water, this time near low water on a largish spring. Left about 11ish and back by 5pm, had to wait an hour to get back in to the cradle. It was the most wind I had Halina out in on my own and found it a real confidence builder. Do many people do this now though or is it all racing or getting A to B as quick as possible? Where do other people sit? Am I just an antiquated relic with an old fashioned approach to sailing?

Excellent! Thanks for posting, good to see someone at sea! It looked like an exciting fast sail.

I enjoyed that! I'm a river-boater these days rather than a sea-sailor but that brought back some pleasant memories. Thanks

Says "content provider has not made this available for mobile devices" so it won't play on iPads etc. Maybe an easy box to tick - lots of good feedback so I want to see it!

Great video - looks like you had fun. Reminded me of sailing around Guernsey & Alderney last year. Sailing mostly on a lake you tend to do quite a lot of sailing just for the sake of it as you run out of places to visit. After 8 years of doing just that we have decided to take up club racing this season. Gives us another dimension to owning a boat, we get to meet like minded people who enjoy sailing and hopefully we will become better sailors too and not always come last :o

Thank you for the kind comments, seems I did it wrong on youtube though, but as long as it is still working! I did have a good day with one moment hesitation after rounding Canger and thinking oh gosh need to ditch the mizzen and put another reef in the main! I was quite tired when I got in but did have a very good day.
