Sailing Essex Blog

See one has popped up already. There will be a load along soon all with the same point of view and a dislike of anyone from round the corner

Hope you enjoy your time round the east coast. Watch out for sandbanks there are a few. Happy sailing :)

Isn't it interesting? The conclusions people jump to when an unknown poster suddenly pops a thread here.

There's immediately a defence, an invite to confrontation and a warm welcome, each based on different interpretations of a single short para. It's like when a stranger walks into a village pub!

I guess staying anonymous for a while will give me an insight into the characters here. After all we're all anonymous to a newcomer.

Talking of defence beware public expressions of support for the new restaurant! Nothing has divided opinion here more! We're calmer about the new Nucleur Power Station than the conversion of a car garage (or historic iconic chaming oyster sheds if you will) into a modern fine dining restaurant.

And the wrecks of house boats change hands for substantial sums and can be quite 'grand'. Semprini lived on one complete with his grand piano.
