Maybe interesting to anyone who uses a PDA as a plotter/library/music system etc etc like me, or reads on the PC (all those who consider that this isn't as good as reading a real book please just ignore this post /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )
All the older out of copyright books are free on the net in various formats at sites like:
http://manybooks.net/
http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/
For example instead of paying inflated prices for out of print copies I got the following excellent Jack London books:
Cruise of the Snark
South Sea Tales
Tales of the Fish Patrol
Small-Boat Sailing (part of 'The Human Drift')
Loads of other stuff like 2yrs before mast, cruise of catchalot, Conrad etc etc
If you use a Palm then Palmfiction is a great free reader (although webpage only in Russian!)
