Sailing back to France, Spain and Portugal, when?

It's about half an hours walk from the marina - The HQ of French Douane in northern France...
One could 'forget' but I bet they have a patrol around the visitors berths and all the French marina offices are required to fill out a form about our arrival and telephone the Douane office - source: my local marina office...

Found out today from Roscoff Port office, Douanes will stamp you out there, you need to give at least 48 hours notice - I don't yet know if that means they come to your boat. You call them on 0970275160 to arrange departure

Thats all well and good if you have 48 hours notice. Most of my trips don't tend to work like that. I have an inkling that trips to France et al will be severely curbed for the foreseeable. Used to do a few every year, but until things settle down and systems are put in place to make it bearable, I don't think i'll be bothering.

Thanks for that info. Good luck with your trip.
I guess that I’ll get up to Roscoff and then sit around for a weather window 48 hours hence before going to see them and hope that the weather doesn’t change too much and do the 70 odd miles to SPP...
On the other hand, I’ll probably bumble along to St Malo and just do the same with a 35 mile hop over to St Helier (now all I’ve got to do is find a number for St Malo Douanes...)
Obviously all COVID permitting!!!

Factoring in when you have your less than 72 hours old Covid test before leaving France to get back into the UK will add to the merriment...

Don't forget to book the two pcr tests needed on return (days 2 & 8) and the passenger locator form.
How could I forget !
I'll be tested to oblivion by the time I get back - one before I go to France, one while I'm there, if the weather gods are against me a second in France and then two more when I get back !
Coming back to a swinging mooring in Falmouth, I'll be curious to see who has any interest in my arrival...

We finished home quarantine at midnight last night. Had three NH Wales phone calls during the ten days and each time were told when they would be phoning next. Said yesterday it's OK to go out today even though we haven't received day 8 test result yet because of weekend post.

Be careful who you book with, some of the names on the gov. list are intermediaries who add their percentage on - we fell for that, finding the test kits came from a different company/lab.
