My home waters are the rias in Galicia which after a few years have become samey.We now have a little boat in Chichester and are finding sailing the south coast much more interesting....shame about the summer but hope springs eternal!

I must say that I find our home waters relentlessly entertaining

you can enageg the locals man to man at any time

it is like sailing through your own history

and amost no paperwork

mind you.... just spent the last wek on the boat

When I worked on a coaster the skipper always had some historical anectote to tell as we trudged past.Here in Spain history seems to be mainly inland!

that is because the spaniards were too frightened to go to sea

terrified of getting a good kicking from the RN

their fleets spent a lot of time in port hiding from our boys
