Saildrive primer - can I be frugal?

Hi - purely because I already have it, can I use this to prime the saildrive for antifoul? (Which I have, not copper-based).

I want a spray as I am planning to squirt up the inside in an attempt to keep the mussels at bay.

Or must I obtain something boaty specific (and stop being so stingy)? Hempel's have one for around £20.

Many thanks indeed.

"This" being what exactly?

Cheeky bump - thoughts welcome, thanks.
Probably not suitable for underwater use and probably no good for an aluminium alloy either

Pre-prime the bare aluminium with International Etch primer after preparing the surface as detailed in the product technical data sheet.
Then prime with Primocon or a primer to suit the finish coat

I did the full etch primer routine on my sail drive. To be honest the touch ups I have done with hammerite special metals primer have been far better. Next time I will use this only.

Careful lads, I'd be reticent to use the wrong paint on a sail drive as the potential damage if it accelerates corrosion would be very expensive indeed! ?
