Saildrive Drain Plug

I made a tool for this job a flat high carbon , a flat steel bar the same thickness as the slot , then adjustable spanner tight onto the bar and twist . first model was 2x steel washers with a flat ground onto them to fit in the slot and adj spanner for twisting .

Torquing cylinder head bolts and suchlike is one thing, but I can't imagine it really matters for a drain plug.
