Saildrive Anodes again !

just a quick query, are volvo penta 110 sail drive anodes compatible with a ms25s sail drive, they do look the same ?

Don't know about that, but if they do then try www.zincsmart.com for your new anode--details, dimensions and prices here. They are normally much cheaper than other suppliers

Be careful with saildrives protection experimentations. Aluminium alloys for saildrives are quite fragile and several manufacturers experienced problems protecting them (see service bulletins). Thus, you should only mount specified anodes correctly weighted and alloyed.

The anode kits for the two have different Volvo part numbers....... I'd guess they are therefore not the same but may be just different fixing screws ???



Same part numbers however for the 120S and MS25S anode kits

Yes, there are 3 types of anode. 110, 120 and 130. The ms25S is a 120 leg, but different top end - the bottom is the same. 130/150 is a 2 piece anode that can be changed without removing the prop but is not compatible with the 120.
