Funny, I've recently taken voluntary redundancy too and shortly I'm off for some fun before I (hopefully) resurface into the real world in New Zealand - will probly be off this forum for a while too but will report back on how life on the Hauraki Gulf compares to the Solent Gulf!

Everyone I know that this has happened to including me has ended up after a short holiday with a better position with more money. So I expect you to be back on line soon 'showing us the money'.

Perhaps now is a good time to spend a month in the Med as a skipper and then look for some work after that!!!

Now that you've got some time, why don't we take Stingo down to Vilagarcia in Spain. There's a brilliant Irish pub there which is well positioned because it's only a few minutes stragger back to the boat.

You've been married for a few weeks now so I am sure Lou must desperately need a break from you.
