Sail vs power colreg situation

Afternoon tide is when we'd be heading into Wainfleet...
I just need something that'll sail at a minimum of 10 knots and I can do it on the top of the tide. :D

One has to be flexible dear boy, you can head into Wainfleet in the early morning, a nice peaceful night sail, under a wondrously starry sky would be very nice indeed.:)

It certainly would. :)

But all the beer and BBQ will be gone!

Looks like I won't be getting my parts until Wednesday due to extra Bank Holiday. Thank you your Majesty...

The best laid plans of mice and Tommyrot, often fraught sometimes not.:D

It would probably be fairly boring. We both apply the Colregs on the sea and the Broads rules on the Broads.
Probably never happen though. Dunno about Tim, but I'm an unsociable old git, no surprise I usually sail single-handed. :D

Ditto in every respect.

This point might have been made before but it was the dinghy's fault. The mobo would have expected the dinghy to have continued on the first starboard tack until the stem head fitting was in the reeds (standard Broads tactic) but he tacked too early! Mobo would have had plenty of time to pass.

I've now got cramp from pressing my tongue into my cheek. Mobo should have slowed to allow dinghy to tack ahead
