I am looking for a good value for money outfit on the East Coast (we are based at Ipswich) who can do a valet / inspection / repair job on our sails. Our boat is a Sadler 29 and we are looking for the work to be done on the genoa and main.
Any recommendations would be most welcome, as would some indication of what we might have to pay ( assuming no major horrors revealed).

Many thanks

I have used Parker & Kay at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, probably not the cheapest but they do a good job & are very knowledgeable - £200 for a new UV strip on a genoa, £100 for new mainsail slides & webbing(curing difficult mainsail hoisting on fully battened main) and minor patches on sprayhood - all on a Jaguar 27.
If you take the sails to them they can inspect, advise and valet.

Dolphin Sails in Harwich have always seemed to be professional.
Admittedly, I've got a set of their sails on my Sadler 34, but their quotes for valeting etc are competitive and not just for existing customers ! (Eg sacrificial strip on genny was £140).
Like a lot of sailmakers they'll come and pick up your sails from wherever your boat may be.

Regards,

Eric.
