Hello all,

Anyone able to recommend a sail valeting service in North Wales or NW England? The sails are at home in Cheshire and the boat is at Conwy which I regularly visit throughout the winter lay up.

Regards..................Andrew

We have only just bought our boat but the previous owner used to use JKA sails in Pwlleli and as the sails are in excellent condition we will continue to do so. I've enclosed the contact details for you.

I used Fleetwood Trawlers a few years ago for cleaning and repair. Seemed OK to me. My sails are with them again for cleaning.

Hi Andrew.
I have to agree about the Fleetwood sailmakers, I know lots of people who have used them, plus they are making me a new mainsail including visiting my boat to check measurments. It is still working out much cheaper than any other quote. Its a good personal service they provide, plus they have been sailmakers for donkeys years!

not to far from conway marina, carry on along a55 towards bangor, take the caernarfon turn off then follow signs to y felinheli marina, which is the turning directly opposite the large car park and pub in village, go down to the swing bridge and turn right where all the building work is being done, and it is the old building at the very end of the road....
