Not really when you've had to have a sprayhood resewn for the third time - You've obviously never experienced the effect of UV - it also tends to shrink even the best quality acrylic canvas.

In Malta?
UV Index is a constant 10+ throughout summer (May through September). Even in the depths of winter it rarely goes down to 4.
