Any recommendations for a sailmaker in P d V gratefully received: required for repairs and valetting Moody 42?

Have you tried asking in the marina office? They were a helpful bunch there when we came through a few years back.

Yes the marina office will help.
There is one sailmaker,'Pires de Lima' but located 25kms south of Povoa, near the airport.
I have used them several times and can recommend their work.
An acquaintance currently on his second Winter lay up in Povoa, had new sails made by them last year (53 foot boat) –he was pleased with them. Very good work and a keen price. They have all the latest sail making equipment, and use high tech material if required, as well as the normal Dacron, in various grades.
Pires de Lima will usually collect sails from the marina and re-deliver them.
