Anybody got any suggestions on how to launder one's own sails?

Thanks

Stick em in your bath & tread em like grapes with a soap type cleaner (rather than Bio types). Then several rinses & hang em out in your garden to dry.

Re: OK...

I once did a pair of white dodgers in swmbo's machine on hot and they came out more yellow than white - so beware of temperture.

Re: OK...

The idea of treading the sails in the bath is good because if you find the water temperature too hot for your feet, then it will be too hot for the sails. In other words it is self regulating. You wont do any damage to the sails at that temperature.

Took your advice couple of hours ago, had fun family bath time treading sail and it's now blowing in the breeze in the garden as we speak.

Now my only wish is that aforementioned sail was attached to boat, HWMO and I were attached to boat's cockpit, and glasses of beer were attached to our respective hands.

Nice one, good advice.

Well on an Astronav sort of theme I favour Stella Artois. Mind you after a few of them I find it extremely hard to navigate anywhere.
