Does anyone know of a firm in the north west who will launder sails ?

You could try North West Sails - normally based in Whitehaven marina. I know they are sailmakers but dont know about laundering. Phone no 01535 652949 - mobile 07977 469354. Guys first name is Richard, sorry dont know his surname. Hope this helps.

Try Fleetwood Trawl in Lancs. I have had sails laundered and mended there in the past and they did a good job.
