Afternoon hive mind , I have a solent rigged ketch wth the inner sail is hanked on , normally I just fold it up and tie it down on deck, I have though about a sail bag and seen a few advertised to keep the sail covered on deck .
Apart from the usual caveats of UV and dirt , remember I Sail in Scotland UV
are the bags a good idea will they prolong the sail life or can they actually add more windage unless packed beautifully.
do others use a sail bag on deck for their hanked on sails
I can get the local sail maker to make a bag so no issues but suspect another £100+ spent on the boat , and I need a new alternator, inverterer , and rope
